Been using these little babies for about a month now and I am absolutely in love. I've been so impressed of how comparable it is to my high end eyeshadows and I can honestly say that this is hands down the best drugstore eyeshadows I've ever owned.. and that's saying a lot for an eyeshadow junkie like me who has a ton of eyeshadows in my collection lol. I purchased four of the nine shades they had available in store (bought these from BIG W for $15 AU each on boxing day when they had the L'oreal 25% off sale) - Flashback Silver, Purple Obsession, Sahara Treasure and Permanent Kaki. Absolutely love these colours and the beauty about these shades is that they compliment each other that you can create different types of eye looks by mix and matching the different colour combinations :)
First of all the packaging is great - I love how it comes in a sturdy little jar and there is this little plastic thingy inside pressing the powder down and keeping it intact, soft and creamy to touch and also preventing it from drying out.. so do not discard the presser!
The shiny shimmery texture is exceptionally pigmented, some shades have some glitter but not over the top glittery at all (you can hardly even tell any signs of it once put on the lid) and the colour pay off is unbelievable. It is velvety smooth and glides heavenly onto your skin like butter. Even with it's high pigmentation, I haven't come across any fall outs. There's been a little debate going around what is the best way to apply it, brush or finger. I think both work really well but personally I prefer applying it with my fingers as I find it easier to pack on the lid, particularly when I'm in a rush, and the colour just pops out beautifully a little bit more on my lids than when it is applied with a brush.

colour pigmentation with one good swipe of the finger
Lasting power is incredible with primer with no creasing or fading at all and definitely lives up to its name being a 24hr eyeshadow (yes.. I tested it out one night wearing it to bed after a big messy night out, I know I know very naughty.. but when I woke up in the morning, woala.. amazingly enough it still looked just as good when I first put it on). I did however forgot to wear it one time without primer and I admit I saw a little sign of creasing after about 6hrs but I still think that's pretty good considering I have very oily lids and it tends to get craaazy oily during summer time especially when it's been so hot and humid here in Brisbane these past couple of weeks (generally without primer, eyeshadows only last about 2hrs on my lids before it starts creasing).. so packing on the primer is a MUST for me if I want my shadows to last longer :) All in all I highly recommend this product, it is definitely worth the bucks and I would definitely go and collect the rest of the shades next time I see it go on sale :) xx
I should definitely get one of those for myself but so far I haven't seen that one in person in any of the stores I've been to. They said it's very comparable to the Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill.
ReplyDeleteThought it's pretty much avail in all stores there now? But yeah, get it soon as u find it. It's great :)
ReplyDeletei havent seen the armani ones yet..The range of makeup products we have here is just nowhere near as extensive as what you guys have over there :( sucks! lol
These have been EVERYWHERE lately! The colours look so gorgeous, though I'm not really sure how long it'll take for the products to get to Australia, we are so late in EVERYTHING! :P
ReplyDeleteThanks for the review! :)
yep agreed, we are always late in getting new stuff here :(
Deletebeen keeping my eyes on the maybelline color tattoos and the new mac collection.. and STILL waiting lol.
Hope u find the infallible shadows in ur area soon :)
ANDDDDDDDDDDD I just realised you're from Australia! How embarrassing! I definitely haven't seen that around my area though :(
ReplyDeletelol all good hun :)
Deleteyea they are everywhere now i think we've had it for awhile. I actually just bought some more shades from priceline. They are having buy 2 get 1 free sale atm. SCORE! haha.
Just followed you. <3 ur blog and u look so darn prettyyy :) xx
Woah, those are some intense colors right there.
ReplyDeleteSahara Treasure looks just like gold in some of your pictures
Looks very convenient to put on :)
thanks babe xD
ReplyDeletefollowed :)
I finally got my hands on one of them. i finally went to the drugstore and found it and since i want to test one out first before i but more i got the shade Eternal Sunshine and it's pretty impressive! Gotta go get some more next time.
ReplyDeleteAs for my other posts, Pearlescent Pink isn't really an exact dupe of Orgasm but they're similar. I think the PP is more similar to my MAC mineralized blush in Dainty too. The MSF blonde is fantastic. I already wrote my review on it but it's queued on my post. WnW Brule is the same shadow in the vanity palette. it is much lighter and more pigmented than my fave Seashell and I love using it too. I'm already almost hitting pan on it.
yay finally! eternal sunshine? what shade is that? i dont think ive seen that here but im not surprised cause there are more shades available in U.S... but on the other hand you guys call it differently to ours too so it could be exactly the same with one that ive seen around lol
Deletethats good to hear now cant wait even more to get my hands on the new MS. i think im gonna go for the redhead :)
i mean *MSF.. i type too fast sometimes haha
DeleteI love these! I have 2 and will have to go back for more. Great blog btw just followed:)
